This page is for listing out important support:

Portsmouth Lifeguards, a UK Charity since 1972 whose full name is Portsmouth & Southsea Voluntary Lifeguards, has actually been in existence since 1933 and only disbanded during the years of WWII and re-established after peace was declared in 1945.

The Charity, with its Headquarters on Southsea Seafront, does wonderful volunteer work patrolling along the beaches of Southsea and Eastney, which include Fraser Beach. They respond to over 150 incidents a year working with the Solent Coastguard Helicopter Service for handling serious incidents. The Charity is also much involved with training young people and there is more information [including how to make a donation] on their website: www.portsmouthlifeguards.org

Portsmouth Lifeguards are now confirming in 2010 from their log records that they have regularly patrolled Fraser Beach for over 20 years. The need has always been there as long as people have regularly used Fraser Beach at Eastney.
